    Welcome to the Historic city of Delhi!
    Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, our representative will meet you as you exit the arrival terminal building. Do look out for the Cox and Kings signboard, after which you will be transferred to your hotel for 2 nights stay.

    Rest of the day is at leisure to unwind and relax in the comforts of your hotel.

  • Day 3 - Delhi

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and proceed on a guided tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, drive past the Red Fort; visit Raj Ghat, the simple but moving memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in Asia. Continue on a fun cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk where you can savor the sights, smells and sounds of the fabled streets. A short walk in the narrow bylanes is full of legends and unfolds many historic tales of Shajahanbad. See the quaint shops with incredible wares from food stalls to jewelry.
    Note:-

    • Visitors are required to take their shoes off before entering Jama Masjid. Shorts, sleeveless tops, revealing clothes are not allowed inside Jama Masjid.

    Later in the afternoon, get ready to explore imperial Delhi. Drive past the imposing India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Parliament buildings and Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President's residence). End the tour with a visit to UNESCO World Heritage listed tower of Qutub Minar dating back to 13th century. It is the highest tower in India and the world's tallest brick minaret.

    Activities - Enjoy full day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi (Seat in Coach).

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and proceed on a guided tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi.     Activities - Today you will drive to the fabulous Shekhawati region

    After breakfast, drive to the Mandawa, a jewel of fabulous Shekhawati region (145 miles / approx. 6 hours) which is also known as the open air Art Gallery of Rajasthan. Transfer to your hotel in Mandawa for an overnight stay.

    Activities - Explore City tour of Mandawa.

    Later today, explore the beautiful havelis, painted predominantly in vibrant colors, have beautiful wall paintings that adorn their walls in this semi-desert region.

  • Day 5 - Mandawa to Bikaner

    Activities - Enjoy sightseeing tour of Junagarh Fort.

    This afternoon, enjoy sightseeing tour of Junagarh Fort. Constructed in the 16th century, the formidable Junagarh Fort is a magnificent structure in marble and red sandstone. In the fort complex are some palatial palaces such as Anup Mahal, Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) and Durbar Niwas (Coronation Palace), which also houses the fort museum. Continue for a walk in the local bazaar and taste a local savory as you soak in the atmosphere.

    Activities - Morning sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer (Seat in Coach).

    Relish your breakfast at leisure. Explore one of the largest forts of the world - the Jaisalmer Fort. The majestic fort's yellow sandstone walls are a tawny lion color during the day and turn to a magical honey-gold during the sunset against the picturesque yellow desert. During your tour visit the Gadisagar Lake - a rainwater reservoir built in 1367; the delightful Folklore Museum and the famous Nathwon and Patwon ki Havelis.

    The afternoon is at leisure or you may take an optional excursion.

    Overnight in Jaisalmer.

  • Day 8 - Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

    Activities - Afternoon city tour.

    Late afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Jodhpur, which includes a visit to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. The 5-kilometre long majestic Mehrangarh Fort is set on a 125 meter high hill and is one of the most impressive and formidable structures. Continue to Jaswant Thada which is located a short distance from the fort and is a white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Later today, enjoy a turban or saree tying demonstration.

    Later in the evening, you may choose an optional tour.

    Overnight in Jodhpur.

  • Day 9 - Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur

    Activities - Drive to Udaipur en-route visiting Ranakpur (Seat in Coach).

    Enjoy breakfast and drive to the romantic city of Udaipur (160 miles / approx. 7 hours) en- route visiting the beautiful Jain Temples at Ranakpur. Nestled in the lush green Aravali Hills, the exquisite Jain Temples of Ranakpur were built in the 15th century. Renowned for the grandiose scale of its architecture and the highly decorated ceilings, walls and 1444 different pillars, it is one of the five main holy places of the Jains. On arrival in Udaipur, check into your hotel for two nights stay.

    Activities - Visit to the royal City Palace (Seat in Coach).

    After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy city tour of Udaipur, which includes a visit to the royal City Palace - with a fortress-like facade, topped by a plethora of graceful balconies; it has been justly described as a massive plain cake topped with fabulous icing. Towering over Lake Pichola, the City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Built in 1567, the palace's dainty facade, cupolas and turrets are an intriguing mixture of Rajput and military architecture, flavored with Mughal ornamental styles. Continue to visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of the maids of honor) and walk through the old city bazaars and learn about the miniature art of this.

    Activities - Morning tour of the Hilltop Citadel - Amber Fort (Seat in Coach).

    After breakfast, proceed for a tour of the fabulous hilltop citadel of Amber Fort, en route taking a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal, a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade. Located at the top of a hill, Amber Fort offers spectacular view of the old town below, where Akbar stopped en route on his annual pilgrimage to Ajmer. Walk around the colorful bazaars and enjoy a traditional sweet at a heritage sweetshop.

  • Day 13 - Jaipur to Agra via Abhaneri

    Activities - Morning drive to Agra en route visiting Abhaneri (Seat in Coach).

    Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel and proceed on a drive to Agra (150 miles / approx. 7 hours), en route stopping at the ancient town of Abhaneri. Visit the spectacular step well and take a short walk in the village before you continue your drive to Agra. On arrival in Agra, check into the hotel for overnight stay.

    Activities - Late afternoon sightseeing tour of Taj Mahal (Seat in Coach).

    Later in the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, a masterpiece in marble and one of the world's most famous landmarks.

    Overnight in Agra.

  • Day 14 - Agra to Delhi

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Later, proceed on a drive to Delhi (125 miles / approx. 5 hours). Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Proceed for a boat cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola derives its name from Pichola Village, with the City Palace extending along its eastern bank and the Jag Niwas Island and the Jag Mandir enclosed in its vast expanse. Maharana Udai Singh enlarged the lake after he founded the city of Udaipur and today it stands 4 kilometers long and 3 kilometers wide. The lake is surrounded by hills and its panoramic beauty is best viewed against the backdrop of the setting sun.

Booking Procedures

Please read the conditions of travel as your booking is subject to the terms and conditions listed below and the Travelzoo terms and conditions. A contract is entered into, once East India Travel Company, Inc. (Cox & Kings) accepts and confirms the booking. Please note that travel arrangements are not confirmed until stated so in writing by Cox & Kings. Payment of any monies constitutes acceptance and understanding of Cox & Kings' Terms & Conditions and Travelzoo as laid out below, as listed on our website and in our pre travel documentation.

Payments / Supplement Payments

For special offers on websites such as Travelzoo, if any payment including supplement payments (if applicable) are not received on time, Cox & Kings reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and to levy cancellation charges.

If the final balance is not received on time, Cox & Kings reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and to levy cancellation charges. If you book your travel 90 days or prior to departure, the full amount of your trip must be paid in order to confirm the booking.

For any air tickets handled by Cox & Kings, full payment is required at time of booking in order to secure the fare quoted.

  • 100 % advance payment at the time of booking.

Alterations by You

If you request any amendments to your travel arrangements once your booking has been confirmed, an amendment fee may apply. If you request any changes in services or accommodation, once commencement of travel, Cox & Kings will do all possible to accommodate your request, however, any costs incurred due to such amendments, you will be liable for any cancellation / retention charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred to secure revised arrangements. Any alteration made will be treated as a tailor made booking and subject to different terms and conditions.

Prices quoted are based on the following configuration:

  • Per person cost on a twin room
  • Triple share with a separate bed
  • Child between 5 to 12 years with bed (Maximum one child)
  • Child between 5 to 12 years sharing bed with parents (Maximum one child)
  • Child up to 5 years sharing bed with parents
  • Cost using single room

Cancellation by You

Should you wish to cancel your travel arrangements, you must notify Cox & Kings in writing to travelzoo@coxandkingsusa.com. Please note that deposits are refundable minus a per person administrative fee of $400 if the cancellation is received more than 91 days prior to departure. Please state the reason for cancellation as you may be covered by your insurance policy. For notification received within 90 days of departure, the following cancellation charges are applicable:

Cancellation policy for land + air programs and land only programs

Days before Departure Cancellation Charge

  • 61 days or longer - 20% of total land program price + 100% of air
  • 60 days to 31 days - 50% of total land program price + 100% of air
  • 30 days to Day of Departure 100% of total land program price + 100% of air

Airfares for different cities other than listed cities

If you are flying from a different city other than the listed (New York, Los Angeles) in our offers, we can provide you with airfares. Airfares are dynamic in nature so the fare at the time of issuance of ticket would be final and subject to availability. The cancellation policy will be different for these departures than the listed gateways.

Unutilized services

We cannot give any allowance or refund for meals, rooms, excursions, etc. that have not been consumed or utilized, when these services have been included in the price of the program. No refund can be made on lost, mislaid or destroyed travel tickets. Any air tickets issued at any time are subject to the terms of the airline. Alterations Made to the Scheduled Program

Travel arrangements are planned and secured in advance and so changes in itinerary content may be unavoidable. These changes may be due to circumstances amounting to “force majeure” or reasons beyond Cox & Kings' control. They could include but not limited to; delay in departure due to flight disruption, closure of a hotel, strikes, riots, natural occurrences, decisions by State / National Governments or Tourist Organizations that cause forced alterations to a planned itinerary, its duration, time spent in a city or requiring the need to remove a city or part of from the itinerary caused by a local occurrence or situation. In such cases, Cox & Kings will offer comparable alternative arrangements. If any of the circumstances listed above occur during the course of the program, we reserve the right to alter the scheduled itinerary accordingly and compensation cannot be paid. We will make every reasonable effort to provide the booked arrangements but minor changes may occur. If changes are significant we shall where possible, inform you or your travel agent before your departure. Please note that Cox & Kings cannot be held responsible for any price increases or surcharges caused by governmental action, additional taxes imposed, fluctuations in exchange rates, increases in scheduled airfare or increases in fuel surcharges should Cox & Kings need to pass along these increases. Any increase in the original program price will be notified to you at least 91 days before departure. If you make your booking within 90 days of departure, the surcharge will be included in your invoice. Any surcharge will not exceed 10 percent of the listed program price.

Documentation Required For Travel: Passports, Visas and Your Responsibilities

Passport

All travelers require a passport with at least six months validity beyond completion of travel.

Visa

Visa is a must and you must process a valid visa to enter India and leave India. It is the responsibility of the individual traveler to secure the proper documentation prior to commencement of travel.

The client accepts full responsibility for obtaining all travel documentation, including but not limited to passport, entry visa and permits prior to commencement of travel and is solely responsible for any consequences resulting from missing or defective documentation. Any information or advice given by Cox & Kings regarding visas, vaccinations, climate, what to pack, baggage, etc., is purely advisory and provided as a courtesy. Cox & Kings is not responsible for any errors or omissions as to the information provided by third parties.

Travel Warnings

It is the responsibility of the Traveler to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U.S. State Department's travel website at www.travel.state.gov or by phone at 1-888-407-4747. In the event of an active State Department Travel Warning against travel to the specific destination location/s of the trip, should the Traveler still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory or warning, the Traveler assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events like those advised or warned against.

What Your Program Price Includes and Excludes

Please refer to each program which lists the Inclusions & Exclusions. There are separate Inclusions & Exclusions for land + air programs and separate Inclusions & Exclusions for land only programs.

Cox & Kings' Limits of Responsibilities

Except where otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions, neither Cox & Kings nor any Third Party Supplier can accept liability or pay compensation where our performance of our or our supplier's contractual obligations is affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. In these terms and conditions force majeure means any event which we / the supplier of the service(s) or the third party supplier could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include but not be limited to; actual or threatened war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, epidemics, fire, and all similar events outside the control of the party concerned.

Cox & Kings makes arrangements with airlines, hotels and other independent parties to provide the travel services you purchase. We do not own or operate any of the accommodation, transport or other facilities used in connection with our programs. We therefore cannot accept liability for negligence of the staff of these organizations. These parties are independent suppliers over whom we have no direct control. Cox & Kings is not liable in the event of any failure by any person or company to render any transportation, accommodation or other travel service to be provided on the journeys, or for expenses incurred due to delays caused by weather, strikes, war, civil disturbances, natural disasters, flight delays, government actions, mechanical failures or any acts of God. Cox & Kings cannot assume any responsibility for flight delays, cancellations or missed connections and is not liable for any expenses or consequences resulting therefrom, and such expenses are to be borne by the traveler. When you travel with an airline the Conditions of Carriage of that airline will apply. These conditions are the subject of International Agreements and may limit or exclude liability. Your travel agent or airline can advise you of these conditions. The participant waives any claim against Cox & Kings for any damage to, or loss of, property, or injury to, or death of, due to any act, or negligence of any airlines, surface transportation companies, hotels or any person rendering any of the services or accommodations included. Cox & Kings cannot be held responsible for any claim, losses, damages for delay of baggage or other properties, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset and disappointment, distress or frustrations, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission of any party providing services.

The participant assumes and understands that all travel has an inherent risk that may result in injury or death from participation in activities, including but not limited to, driving, hiking, walking, touring, visiting archeological sites, walking on uneven surfaces, riding on rough roads, rafting, boating, canoeing riding in helicopters, on trains, boats, swimming, surfing, horseback or camel riding and any other activities. Participant knows and is familiar with the activities in their itinerary and is able to confirm that they meet the physical requirements to participate.

All services are subject to the laws of the countries in which these services are rendered. Venue for all claims or disputes shall be exclusively in Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A., whose courts, using California Law, shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Damage claims against Cox & Kings shall be limited to the value of the particular item in dispute and not for any incidental, consequential, or special damages. Cox & Kings assumes no responsibility for representations made by others including, but not limited to, any employee of Cox & Kings or independent travel agent. Payment for reservations on any Cox & Kings travel arrangements shall constitute consent to all the provisions in the Booking Terms & Conditions published herein and is binding on all travel participants.

United States Tour Operators Association - $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program

Cox & Kings, The Americas, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of Cox & Kings, The Americas' customers in the unlikely event of Cox & Kings, The Americas bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by Cox & Kings, The Americas may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by Cox & Kings, The Americas.
